Bihar School Examination Board has released the notification regarding the correction of name or date of birth in certificates. There can be various reasons of the name change, so if anyone wants to make any kind of correction in their name or father’s name or mother’s name then they can easily so if anyone wants to make any kind of correction in their name or father’s name or mother’s name then they can easily apply online through the official website of Bihar School Examination Board i.e. www.biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in
There are two ways to get correction in your certificates . Earlier it was done only through offline process but now it is also available in Online mode here I will guide you with both the online and offline process to change your name in Bihar board certificates.
How To Change Name In Bihar Board Certificate Offline
The students of class 10 or 12 of Bihar School Examination Board is having any error in the certificate or mark sheet in their name or father’s name or mother’s name or in any other field can also apply offline to the divisional office or regional office of Bihar School Examination Board for correction.
As per the notification, there will be no counter open for students in the Patna main office of the Bihar School Examination Board. So they will not accept any kind of application regarding the change in name in the certificate or mark sheet. All the correction work will be done in the divisional office. The divisional office has been functional and started issuing certificates.
There are 9 divisional offices of the Bihar School Examination Board. The different locations of divisional offices are Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, Gaya (Magadh), Munger, Muzaffarpur (Tirhut), Patna, Purnea, Saharsa (Kosi), and Saran. Process to get correction in Bihar School Examination Board Certificate: – The process to get a correction in name or any other field in Bihar School Examination Board Certificate or Mark sheet is as follows:-
- Make an Affidavit from District Court regarding certificate or mark sheet correction
- Visit your School or college where have you passed matriculation or Intermediate Examination
- Write an application regarding correction in name in mark sheet or certificate
- The School verifies the details and will forward them to the divisional or regional office of the Bihar School Examination Board.
- Go to your respective divisional or regional office of the Bihar School Examination Board
- Attached is the list of documents needed like Affidavit, College forwarding, Mark sheet, Admit Card, Registration Card, Cast Category (if any)
- Do self-attest all documents
- Pay the correction fees charged along with the application
- Take the receiving to get a New or modified certificate or Mark sheet
- You will get a new certificate or mark sheet by the same day evening.
